Hello friends! It is to fun to create beautiful jewelry using something as simple as scrapbook paper scraps and jewelry resin! Here are all the details on how I created these Paper and Resin Pendants. Do not be afraid of the resin, it is so easy to use!

How to Make Paper and Resin Pendants:
SUPPLIES:
- Jewelry Resin Kit
- Ultra-Seal (or other multipurpose sealer/glue)
- Powder-free Vinyl Gloves
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Disposable work surface like cardboard
- Pendant bezels
- Scrapbook paper pieces
Paper for the Pendants:
The first thing you need to do is cut the paper so that it will fit into the bezels. I trace around the bezel then cut just inside that line. Use the ultra seal or other multipurpose sealer/glue (a decoupage type) on the inside of the bezel. Coat the inside then add the paper pieces making sure they are centered.
Next, coat over the paper with another layer of glue sealer. Let that dry completely. Mine dried in about an hour.
When the glue has dried it will look something like this, with some texture. It doesn’t look great, but no worries, the resin will fix that!
Resin mixing and pouring:
The resin will give your pendant that beautiful glossy, glass-like surface. The first step is to put on your gloves. Always use gloves when working with resin. Next, using the small disposable cups, mix equal amounts of Part A and Part B into a cup. Stir thoroughly.
Now go ahead and pour the mixture into a second cup and stir thoroughly again. This ensures that the resin is mixed completely and will cure as expected.
Once it is mixed thoroughly, pour a little into each bezel. Be careful not to overfill!
You’ll notice there are a lot of bubbles. This is absolutely fine! Simply exhale over the top of the pieces and the carbon dioxide from your breath will pop the bubbles. Sometimes more appear as the resin is settling so be sure to keep an eye out.
Leave your pendants in a dust free space and let the resin cure for 24 hours.
All Finished!
Voila! Two pretty Paper and Resin Pendants. This process is so fun and you could create one to match any outfit, or better yet, give them as gifts!
Isn’t it amazing how perfectly smooth the resin makes these necklaces?
