One of my recent custom orders was a request for two crochet shark blankets for some young kids who are obsessed with Sharknado. Having never made them before, I found this free Crochet Shark Sleep Sack pattern by Yarnspirations and it was the exact look my customer was going for, so I made it happen. I altered the pattern a little bit because it was sized for a teenager and I was making these for young children. One note: this was the first time I had ever used Bernat Blanket Yarn and it is fantastically soft. I just loved working with it.

I had my three year old test it out for me, just to be sure the sizing would work well. She had fun pretending she was getting eaten by a shark, her happy face wasn’t very convincing, we need to work on her acting skills.
About a week later this customer also asked if I could make some crochet shark slippers as well for a baby. These were so fun to make! I actually bought the pattern on Etsy, just searching for crochet shark socks. The yarn I used was (affiliate links) Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo Yarn, Gray Heather and Red Heart Super Saver Economy Yarn, White
